The NIBCO CE00850 is a Schedule 80 PVDF 45-degree elbow fitting designed for industrial and chemical piping systems where corrosion resistance and pressure performance are required. Manufactured from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), this fitting handles aggressive fluids, acids, and high-purity media that would degrade standard PVC or CPVC components. The 1-inch fitting connects via slip on one end and a straight reinforced female iron pipe thread (SR FIPT) on the other, making it suitable for transitioning between solvent-welded and threaded piping runs. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians typically install this component.
This fitting is used in chemical processing, semiconductor fabrication, water treatment, and industrial plumbing applications where high chemical resistance and Schedule 80 pressure ratings are necessary. The PVDF material makes it appropriate for both aggressive chemical service and high-purity fluid handling. It is a direct-install component for 1-inch Schedule 80 PVDF piping systems using slip and threaded connection methods.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1-inch Schedule 80 PVDF piping systems using slip and threaded end connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic chemical piping systems. Shut off flow and depressurize the line completely before cutting into any existing piping. Solvent cement on the slip end must be rated for PVDF and applied per the cement manufacturer's instructions; standard PVC or CPVC cement is not compatible with PVDF. Thread engagement on the SR FIPT end should use PTFE tape or a thread sealant compatible with PVDF and the fluid being handled.
