The NIBCO CD03925 is a Schedule 80 PVDF threaded pipe nipple rated for demanding industrial and chemical fluid handling applications. Constructed from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), this nipple measures 1-1/2 inches in pipe size and 3 inches in length with male NPT threads on both ends. PVDF delivers excellent resistance to aggressive chemicals, UV exposure, and elevated temperatures, making it a reliable choice where standard PVC or CPVC fall short. Maximum working pressure is 1360 psi, and the maximum working temperature is 280 degrees F. Plumbers and pipefitters install this component to extend or connect threaded PVDF piping runs in corrosive or high-purity service environments.
This nipple is suited for use in chemical processing, high-purity water systems, industrial plumbing, and semiconductor facility piping. Its Schedule 80 wall thickness supports elevated pressure service in both above-ground and exposed piping configurations. The red color coding aids in quick visual identification of PVDF lines within a system. It is appropriate for residential or commercial settings where aggressive media, high temperatures, or strict purity requirements call for a fluoropolymer piping component rather than a standard thermoplastic.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for Schedule 80 PVDF threaded piping systems using 1-1/2 inch nominal pipe size with MNPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic threaded piping systems. Isolate and depressurize the piping system and drain all fluid before removing or installing any nipple. Use PTFE thread tape or a thread sealant compatible with PVDF and the specific media being conveyed. Avoid overtightening, as excessive torque can crack PVDF threaded fittings.
