The NIBCO CD03825 is a Schedule 80 PVDF threaded pipe nipple designed for demanding fluid handling applications where chemical resistance and pressure integrity are critical. Manufactured from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), this nipple measures 3/4 inch pipe size and 3 inches in length, with a red color designation that aids in system identification. Schedule 80 wall thickness provides greater pressure ratings compared to Schedule 40, making this nipple suitable for high-purity, corrosive, or aggressive media transfer lines. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters typically install this component in industrial, chemical processing, and high-purity water systems.
This nipple fits into threaded plastic piping systems where PVDF is specified for resistance to chlorine, bromine, solvents, and other aggressive chemicals. Common install scenarios include chemical feed lines, water treatment systems, pool and spa chemical dosing manifolds, and semiconductor or laboratory pure water loops. The 3/4 inch size is a standard trade size that mates with NIBCO and compatible Schedule 80 PVDF fittings, valves, and pipe.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard component for Schedule 80 PVDF threaded plastic piping systems in 3/4 inch pipe size applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter familiar with plastic threaded piping systems. Shut off system pressure and drain the line before removing or installing any threaded nipple. Use PTFE thread sealant tape rated for PVDF and plastic fittings — do not use petroleum-based pipe dopes, which can degrade PVDF. Hand-tighten first, then use strap wrenches rather than metal pipe wrenches to avoid cracking the fitting; follow applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements for plastic pipe assemblies.
