This nipple is intended for use in systems handling corrosive chemicals, ultrapure water, or other fluids that would degrade standard thermoplastic or metal fittings. Installation of PVDF threaded nipples should be performed by a licensed plumber familiar with plastic piping systems and applicable codes such as the IPC. Isolate and depressurize the system completely before removing any existing fittings or installing this nipple. Use PTFE thread sealant tape rated for use with PVDF and fluoropolymer components. Do not use pipe wrenches with excessive force, as overtightening threaded plastic fittings can cause cracking or thread damage.
