The NIBCO CD03755 is a Schedule 80 PVDF threaded pipe nipple designed for use in demanding fluid-handling systems where chemical resistance and durability are critical. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) is a high-performance thermoplastic that withstands aggressive chemicals, high-purity fluids, and elevated service temperatures better than standard PVC or CPVC. At 1/2 inch pipe size and Schedule 80 wall thickness, this nipple delivers the pressure-bearing capacity required in industrial and commercial piping applications. The red color coding provides quick visual identification of the line or system type. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters working in chemical processing, water treatment, or high-purity fluid systems are the primary installers.
This nipple is suited for Schedule 80 thermoplastic piping systems in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings where chemical compatibility is a priority. Typical applications include chemical feed lines, deionized water systems, semiconductor fabrication support piping, and corrosive-fluid distribution. The threaded end connections allow integration with standard NPT fittings and valves. It is commonly installed as a close or short nipple between Schedule 80 PVDF fittings, valves, and instrumentation connections.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard component for Schedule 80 PVDF thermoplastic piping systems using 1/2 inch NPT threaded connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic piping systems and applicable IPC or local plumbing codes. Shut off flow and depressurize the line before removing or installing any threaded components. Use PTFE thread tape rated for PVDF and plastic piping rather than pipe dope compounds that may degrade the material. Do not over-torque threaded plastic fittings, as PVDF is strong but can crack under excessive mechanical stress.
