The NIBCO CD03300 is a Schedule 80 flush threaded reducer bushing made from PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), a high-performance thermoplastic rated for demanding industrial and chemical handling applications. The bushing reduces a 1-inch male iron pipe thread (MIPT) connection down to a 3/4-inch female iron pipe thread (FIPT) connection in a flush-style profile, keeping the overall installed length compact. PVDF offers excellent resistance to a broad range of corrosive chemicals, making this fitting suitable where standard PVC or CPVC would degrade. It is color-coded red for quick visual identification of Schedule 80 fittings on the job.
This reducer bushing is used in Schedule 80 thermoplastic piping systems found in chemical processing, water treatment, industrial fluid handling, and laboratory plumbing. Its MIPT x FIPT configuration makes it straightforward to transition pipe sizes within an existing threaded line without adding extra length. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters typically install this fitting in applications where corrosion resistance and pressure-rated Schedule 80 construction are both required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for Schedule 80 PVDF threaded piping systems using 1-inch to 3/4-inch reducer configurations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic threaded fittings. Depressurize and drain the line completely before beginning any work. Use PTFE thread tape or a compatible thread sealant rated for PVDF and the specific media being conveyed. Avoid overtightening, as excessive torque can crack thermoplastic fittings.
