The NIBCO CD00800 is a Schedule 80 PVDF 45-degree elbow fitting designed for corrosive chemical piping systems where standard thermoplastic fittings fall short. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) offers excellent chemical resistance and high-temperature performance, making this fitting a reliable choice for aggressive fluid handling applications. The 3/4-inch fitting features a Slip x SR FIPT end connection and is color-coded red for quick identification in the field. At 0.14 pounds, it is lightweight without sacrificing the structural integrity expected of Schedule 80 rated plastic fittings. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters are the primary installers.
This elbow is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial piping systems handling corrosive fluids, ultrapure water, or chemical process lines. The 45-degree angle allows directional changes with reduced turbulence compared to a standard 90-degree elbow. The SR FIPT (straight reinforced female iron pipe thread) socket end provides a secure, leak-resistant connection when properly solvent-cemented or threaded per manufacturer guidelines. This fitting is commonly found in chemical feed lines, water treatment systems, and laboratory plumbing installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 PVDF piping systems using 3/4-inch pipe with Slip and SR FIPT end connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic piping systems and applicable codes such as the IPC. Shut off all flow and depressurize the line before cutting out any existing fitting. Use only PVDF-compatible solvent cement on the slip end and ensure threads are clean and sealed appropriately on the SR FIPT end. Do not over-torque threaded connections, as PVDF is a rigid thermoplastic and susceptible to cracking under excessive mechanical stress.
