The NIBCO CD00750 is a 45-degree elbow fitting machined from PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), a high-performance thermoplastic suited for corrosive fluid systems. The fitting is Schedule 80 rated, providing heavier wall thickness and greater pressure capacity than Schedule 40. End connections are Slip x SR FIPT, allowing one solvent-weld socket end and one standard-taper female threaded end. The 1/2 inch size fits standard half-inch pipe. Identified by its red color for quick material identification on the job. Designed for installation by plumbers and industrial pipefitters working with chemical process, high-purity, or aggressive-media piping systems.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial piping systems where chemical resistance is a priority. PVDF is commonly specified in chemical feed lines, water treatment systems, semiconductor fabrication, and high-purity fluid handling. The 45-degree angle allows gradual directional changes in tight routing runs. The Schedule 80 wall thickness suits moderate- to high-pressure service. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipe mechanics typically install this fitting in conjunction with PVDF solvent cement for the slip end and appropriate sealant or PTFE tape on the threaded connection.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 PVDF piping systems using 1/2 inch pipe with Slip x SR FIPT end connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter. Shut off fluid supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing piping. Use PVDF-compatible solvent cement on the slip socket end and apply PTFE tape or a suitable thread sealant on the SR FIPT threaded connection. Do not use solvent cements intended for PVC or CPVC on PVDF fittings, as they are not chemically compatible.
