The NIBCO CC08955 is a 1/2 inch Schedule 80 polypropylene tank adapter designed to create a threaded connection between a tank wall and a standard female pipe thread fitting. Molded from black polypropylene, this adapter delivers corrosion resistance and chemical compatibility suitable for a wide range of fluid handling applications. The Schedule 80 wall thickness provides added pressure-handling capability over Schedule 40, making it appropriate for demanding plumbing and industrial installations. Rated to a maximum working temperature of 180 degrees F, the CC08955 meets ASTM D4101 standards for polypropylene plastic fittings. It is typically installed by licensed plumbers or industrial piping technicians.
This tank adapter is used in applications where a plastic storage tank, chemical tank, or process vessel requires a secure, leak-free threaded port. The FPT x FPT end configuration allows connection on both the tank-side and the supply or discharge line side using male-threaded pipe nipples or accessories.
