The NIBCO CC08600 is a Schedule 80 polypropylene socket union designed for 1-1/2 inch pipe systems requiring a removable, pressure-rated connection point. Built from black polypropylene, this union offers solid chemical resistance for drainage, waste, and chemical-handling applications. The Slip x SR FIPT end configuration allows one side to solvent-weld to plain-end pipe while the other threads onto a female iron pipe thread fitting. Plumbers and pipefitters install this union where future disconnection of a pipe segment is anticipated without cutting the line.

This union is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations, particularly in chemical-resistant piping systems where polypropylene is specified over PVC or CPVC. Installation Notes
