The NIBCO CC07950 is a Schedule 80 polypropylene pipe nipple designed for threaded piping systems where chemical resistance and moderate-temperature service are required. This nipple measures 2 inches in pipe size and 3 inches in length, with male NPT (MNPT) threads on both ends. Rated to 20 psi maximum working pressure and a maximum working temperature of 180 degrees F, it suits drainage, chemical handling, and light industrial fluid conveyance applications. Plumbers and pipefitters install this nipple as a close or short extension fitting when connecting threaded fittings, valves, and equipment in Schedule 80 plastic piping systems.
The CC07950 is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, industrial process piping, and chemical distribution lines where metal nipples may corrode or react with system media. Its polypropylene construction makes it a practical choice in applications involving mild acids, bases, or other corrosive fluids. The black color and Schedule 80 wall thickness meet ASTM D4101 standards, making it appropriate for heavier-duty plastic piping work where extra wall strength is needed compared to Schedule 40 fittings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 polypropylene threaded piping systems using 2-inch MNPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable plumbing codes, including IPC requirements for plastic piping. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Use thread sealant tape or compound rated for use with polypropylene and plastic threads — avoid over-tightening, as polypropylene threads can crack under excessive torque. Do not exceed the rated working pressure or temperature for this fitting.
