The NIBCO CC07750 is a Schedule 80 polypropylene threaded pipe nipple designed for use in piping systems that require corrosion-resistant plastic fittings. Sized at 2 inches pipe diameter and 2.5 inches in length, this black polypropylene nipple provides a short, rigid connection between threaded fittings, valves, or equipment ports. Schedule 80 wall thickness gives it greater pressure handling capability than Schedule 40, making it suitable for demanding plumbing and industrial piping applications. Plumbers and pipefitters install this type of nipple where metal corrosion is a concern or where chemical compatibility with polypropylene is required.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, chemical handling lines, irrigation systems, and process piping where polypropylene's resistance to acids, bases, and many solvents is an advantage. The threaded ends allow straightforward connection using standard NPT fittings without solvent cementing. Its compact 2.5-inch length makes it a close nipple option for tight installation spaces where minimal standoff between two threaded connections is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard 2-inch NPT threaded plumbing systems using Schedule 80 plastic piping components.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before making any threaded connections. Apply PTFE tape or a compatible thread sealant to the male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten polypropylene fittings, as the material can crack under excessive torque; hand-tight plus one to two turns with a strap wrench is standard practice for plastic threaded fittings.
