The NIBCO CC07650 is a Schedule 80 polypropylene threaded pipe nipple used to connect two female-threaded fittings or extend a piping run in chemical, industrial, and plumbing applications. It measures 1-1/2 inches in pipe size and 3 inches in length, with male NPT (MNPT) threads on both ends. The polypropylene construction makes it resistant to corrosion, many acids, and common chemicals, giving it an advantage over metal nipples in corrosive service environments. Maximum working pressure is 20 psi, and the material is rated for service up to 180 degrees F. The black color aids visual identification. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers of this fitting.
This nipple is suited for residential and commercial piping systems where corrosion resistance or chemical compatibility is required. Typical applications include chemical feed lines, irrigation systems, industrial process piping, and plumbing drain or vent stubs where polypropylene is the specified material. Schedule 80 wall thickness provides added mechanical strength compared to Schedule 40, making it appropriate for higher-stress installations within the rated pressure limits.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard 1-1/2 inch female NPT fittings, valves, and equipment connections in polypropylene or mixed-material piping systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter. Shut off system pressure and drain the line before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Use PTFE thread tape or a thread sealant rated for polypropylene and the conveyed fluid. Avoid over-tightening, as polypropylene threads can crack under excessive torque; hand-tight plus a moderate turn with a strap wrench is standard practice for plastic threaded fittings.
