The NIBCO CC05350 is a flush reducer bushing designed to transition between 1-1/4 inch and 3/4 inch pipe in Schedule 80 plastic piping systems. Molded from black polypropylene, it connects using male iron pipe thread (MIPT) on one end and female iron pipe thread (FIPT) on the other, allowing an inline reduction without the need for a separate coupling. At 0.18 pounds, it is a compact, lightweight fitting suited for chemical handling, industrial process lines, and plumbing systems where corrosion resistance is a priority. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers.
This bushing is used in Schedule 80 thermoplastic piping systems where a straight, flush-style reduction between 1-1/4 inch and 3/4 inch threaded connections is required. Common applications include chemical transfer lines, industrial fluid handling, and commercial plumbing installations. Polypropylene construction makes it suitable for environments where metal fittings would be subject to corrosive media. It is sold individually.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 polypropylene threaded piping systems requiring a 1-1/4 inch to 3/4 inch flush reduction.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters working on Schedule 80 thermoplastic systems. Isolate and depressurize the line completely before disassembling any threaded connections. Use PTFE thread tape or a compatible thread sealant rated for polypropylene and the media being conveyed. Do not overtighten threaded plastic fittings, as polypropylene is susceptible to cracking under excessive torque.
