The NIBCO CC03350 is a Schedule 80 polypropylene tee fitting used to create branch connections in plastic piping systems. It features three female iron pipe thread (FIPT) end connections, allowing it to join threaded pipe runs in a standard tee configuration. Made from black polypropylene, this fitting handles applications where chemical resistance and moderate temperature performance are required. The Schedule 80 wall thickness provides added pressure capability compared to Schedule 40. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters typically install this fitting in industrial, commercial, and process piping systems where corrosive fluids or chemicals are present.
This fitting is suited for chemical drainage, process piping, and fluid handling systems that require a non-metallic tee at 1-1/2 inches pipe size. Polypropylene construction makes it appropriate for systems conveying mildly aggressive chemicals, acids, or corrosive solutions where metal fittings would degrade. It is commonly installed in commercial and light industrial environments. The all-female threaded connections accept standard NPT male threaded pipe or nipples on all three ports.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1-1/2 inch Schedule 80 thermoplastic piping systems using NPT threaded connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the piping system completely before making or breaking any threaded connections. Use PTFE thread tape or an appropriate thread sealant rated for polypropylene and the conveyed fluid. Avoid over-torquing plastic threaded fittings, as polypropylene threads are more susceptible to cracking under excessive force than metal equivalents.
