The NIBCO CC03300 is a Schedule 80 polypropylene pipe tee designed for threaded pipe systems requiring reliable, chemical-resistant fittings. Sized at 1-1/4 inches with female iron pipe thread (FIPT) connections on all three ports, this tee provides a branch takeoff point in a run of pipe without the need for solvent cementing or heat fusion. The black polypropylene construction offers good resistance to acids, bases, and many industrial chemicals compared to standard PVC. Weighing 0.35 pounds, the fitting is lightweight and well-suited for overhead or suspended runs where load matters.
This tee is used in Schedule 80 thermoplastic piping systems found in industrial facilities, chemical processing environments, laboratories, and commercial plumbing applications. It is installed by plumbers and pipefitters working on systems that handle corrosive fluids, deionized water, or aggressive process media where metallic fittings are not appropriate. The all-female threaded end connections accept standard NPT male pipe threads, making integration with existing threaded polypropylene or compatible plastic pipe systems straightforward.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 thermoplastic threaded piping systems using 1-1/4 inch nominal pipe size with NPT male threads.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Isolate and depressurize the piping system completely before making any connections. Use PTFE thread tape or a compatible thread sealant rated for use with polypropylene on all NPT connections. Do not over-torque threaded joints, as polypropylene fittings can crack under excessive mechanical stress.
