The NIBCO CC02150 is a Schedule 80 polypropylene 90-degree elbow designed for plastic piping systems in demanding chemical, industrial, and plumbing applications. Sized at 2 inches with Slip x SR FIPT end connections, this black polypropylene fitting handles a maximum working temperature of 180 degrees F. Its Schedule 80 wall thickness provides the added pressure rating required where standard Schedule 40 fittings are not sufficient. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters specify this fitting where corrosion resistance and chemical compatibility are priorities over metal construction.
This elbow is suited for residential and commercial piping installations where polypropylene is the specified material — including chemical drainage, industrial process lines, and corrosive-environment service. The Slip x SR FIPT connection configuration allows one solvent-weld socket end to mate directly with a female threaded fitting or pipe on the opposite side, giving installers flexible transition options within a run. The black color is standard for Schedule 80 polypropylene fittings and aids in UV identification on job sites.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 2-inch Schedule 80 polypropylene piping systems using solvent-weld and threaded connections per ASTM D4101 specifications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter familiar with solvent-cement joining procedures for thermoplastic fittings. Depressurize and drain the piping system completely before cutting into any existing line. Use only solvent cement rated for polypropylene on the Slip end; do not substitute PVC or CPVC cement. Follow local plumbing codes and ASTM joining guidelines for cure times before returning the system to service.
