The NIBCO CC01250 is a 1-inch Schedule 80 polypropylene 45-degree elbow designed for directional changes in plastic piping systems. Built from black polypropylene, this fitting delivers chemical resistance and durability in applications where metal fittings are not suitable. The slip inlet connects directly to pipe OD, while the SR FIPT outlet threads to standard female iron pipe thread connections. At 0.14 pounds, this lightweight fitting is straightforward to handle and install. It is suited for industrial, chemical, and corrosive-fluid piping systems where a robust thermoplastic Schedule 80 fitting is required.
This elbow is used in Schedule 80 plastic piping systems found in industrial process lines, chemical distribution, irrigation, and other applications that demand corrosion resistance. The polypropylene material makes it appropriate for systems conveying mild acids, bases, and other chemicals incompatible with metal piping. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters typically install this fitting in commercial and light industrial settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1-inch Schedule 80 polypropylene piping systems using slip and SR FIPT end connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC and local plumbing codes. Shut off and depressurize the piping system completely before cutting into any line or removing existing fittings. Solvent-cement the slip end using a polypropylene-compatible cement following the cement manufacturer's instructions, and allow adequate cure time before restoring system pressure. Do not use standard PVC or CPVC cement on polypropylene fittings, as these are not chemically compatible.
