The NIBCO CC01150 is a 45-degree elbow fitting designed for Schedule 80 polypropylene piping systems. It features a slip by SR FIPT (slip x street reinforced female iron pipe thread) end connection configuration, allowing direct transition between solvent-weld socket connections and threaded pipe. The fitting is molded from black polypropylene, a chemical-resistant thermoplastic suited for corrosive fluid handling, industrial process lines, and chemical distribution systems. At 1/2 inch in size and weighing 0.06 pounds, it is a compact, lightweight component. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting in both above-ground and process piping applications where polypropylene is the specified material.
This fitting is used in Schedule 80 polypropylene piping systems handling corrosive chemicals, acids, bases, or other aggressive media where metal fittings are not suitable. Typical applications include industrial process piping, chemical feed lines, water treatment facilities, and laboratory plumbing. The 45-degree angle is used to offset pipe runs while minimizing flow restriction compared to a 90-degree elbow. The slip socket end accepts standard Schedule 80 polypropylene pipe for solvent cementing, while the SR FIPT end threads onto male-threaded pipe or fittings.

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off and depressurize the piping system completely before cutting into any existing line. The slip socket end requires a polypropylene-compatible solvent cement applied per the cement manufacturer's instructions — do not use PVC or CPVC cement on polypropylene fittings. Thread the SR FIPT end onto male pipe threads using an appropriate thread sealant rated for polypropylene and the media being conveyed.
