The NIBCO B160750 is a cast copper pressure tee fitting designed for use in potable water and hydronic piping systems. It measures 1-1/4 inches on the run ends and 3/4 inches on the branch, with an end connection configuration of C x F x C — sweat on both run ends and a female threaded branch outlet. Cast copper construction provides reliable performance under pressure service conditions. This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers working on residential and light commercial copper piping systems where a branch takeoff is required in a pressure application.
This tee is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a 3/4-inch female threaded branch is needed off a 1-1/4-inch copper main. The C x F x C configuration accommodates a soldered connection on each run end while the female threaded branch accepts a standard male-threaded adapter or valve. Typical applications include domestic water distribution, hydronic heating supply and return lines, and other pressure piping assemblies built to code with copper tubing.
Designed as an OEM-style pressure fitting for use with standard 1-1/4-inch and 3/4-inch copper tubing in residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable edition of the International Plumbing Code. Shut off and depressurize the water supply and allow all pipe sections to cool and dry before soldering. Clean all sweat-end surfaces and apply flux prior to soldering; ensure the female threaded branch connection is sealed with an appropriate thread sealant or tape rated for potable water service. Do not apply heat to the threaded branch end after assembly.
