The NIBCO B146750 is a cast copper pressure tee designed for use in potable water, hydronic heating, and general plumbing distribution systems. Sized at 1-1/4 inches with a C x C x F end connection configuration, it accepts sweat (solder) connections on two ports and a female threaded connection on the branch outlet. This fitting is built from cast copper, providing consistent wall thickness and reliable joint integrity at standard working pressures. It is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters during new construction, remodel, or system repair work where a branch takeoff is required in a copper piping run.
This tee is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications, including domestic hot and cold water supply lines and hydronic heating distribution piping. The 1-1/4-inch size is commonly found in main distribution lines and larger branch circuits. The female-threaded branch port allows direct connection to threaded components such as valves, sensors, or transition fittings without an additional adapter.
Designed as an OEM-style pressure fitting for use in standard 1-1/4-inch copper piping systems where a sweat-by-sweat-by-female-thread tee configuration is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off and drain the water supply fully before cutting into any existing line. Sweat connections require proper flux application, clean tubing ends, and a lead-free solder approved for potable water service. The female threaded branch outlet should be made up with an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the service fluid.
