The NIBCO B132100 is a cast copper drop tee designed for pressure piping systems in residential and commercial plumbing and hydronic heating applications. This 1/2 inch fitting features a C x C x C (sweat) end connection on all three ports, allowing copper tubing to be joined using standard soldering techniques. Cast copper construction provides reliable pressure performance and corrosion resistance typical of copper alloy fittings. The drop tee configuration positions the branch outlet perpendicular to the run, making it well suited for branch takeoffs in tight spaces or drop-down service connections. The fitting weighs 0.16 pounds and is sold individually.
This fitting is used in potable water supply lines, hydronic radiant systems, baseboard heating loops, and general pressure piping where 1/2 inch copper tubing is specified. The sweat connection type is standard across residential new construction and retrofit plumbing work. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting wherever a tee branch is needed along a 1/2 inch copper run, particularly in cases where the branch must drop away from the main line.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1/2 inch copper pressure piping systems using C x C x C sweat connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off and depressurize the water or fluid system completely before cutting into any existing line. Clean and flux all mating copper surfaces before soldering, and allow the joint to cool fully before restoring pressure. Do not apply torque or mechanical stress to the fitting during or after the soldering process.
