The NIBCO B107600 is a cast copper reducing tee designed for pressure piping systems in commercial and residential plumbing applications. This fitting connects three pipe runs with sweat (C x C x C) end connections, joining a 3-inch run outlet, a 2-inch run outlet, and a 1-1/2-inch branch outlet in a single body. Cast copper construction provides the pressure rating, corrosion resistance, and long service life expected in potable water, hydronic heating, and mechanical piping systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers for this class of fitting.
This reducing tee is suited for branch takeoffs in larger-diameter copper piping systems where the branch or run requires a size transition. Common applications include main distribution lines in commercial plumbing, hydronic heating supply and return headers, and mechanical room piping where flow is split or redirected. The C x C x C end connections accept standard copper tubing on all three ports and are joined using standard solder or brazing procedures.
Designed as an OEM-style pressure fitting compatible with standard copper tubing piping systems using 3-inch, 2-inch, and 1-1/2-inch nominal copper tube sizes with C x C x C sweat connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off and depressurize the water or hydronic system and allow pipes to cool fully before cutting in the fitting. Clean and flux all mating tube ends before soldering or brazing; use materials compatible with potable water service if applicable. Do not apply heat to a fitting while the system is under pressure.
