The NIBCO B105350 is a cast copper pressure tee fitting used to create a branch connection in copper piping systems. It accepts sweat (solder) connections on all three ends in a C x C x C configuration, with a run size of 2-1/2 inches, a branch outlet of 1-1/2 inches, and a secondary run end of 2 inches. Cast copper construction provides strength and corrosion resistance suited to potable water, hydronic heating, and general pressure piping applications. This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on commercial or residential systems where copper sweat joints are specified.
This fitting is suited for pressure piping applications in residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic systems. The reducing tee configuration allows a branch takeoff at 1-1/2 inches from a 2-1/2 inch main run, terminating at 2 inches on the opposite run end. It is commonly used when a system requires a branch connection without transitioning the full run to a smaller diameter. All three ends are designed for soldered cup connections, making this a standard choice wherever copper sweat fittings are called out on a project.
Designed as an OEM-style pressure fitting for copper sweat piping systems where a reducing tee connection is required. Suitable for use in potable water, hydronic, and general pressure service applications using standard copper tubing.
Installation requires a licensed plumber or pipefitter trained in copper sweat soldering techniques. Shut off and drain the affected piping circuit completely before cutting into the line. Clean and flux all mating tube ends and fitting cups per ASTM B828 and applicable local plumbing code requirements before applying heat and solder. Avoid overheating the fitting, as excessive heat can damage the joint or surrounding piping.
