The NIBCO B104200 is a cast copper pressure tee fitting used to create branch connections in copper water and hydronic piping systems. It connects a 2-inch main run to a 3/4-inch branch outlet using sweat (C x C x C) end connections on all three ports. The fitting is manufactured from cast copper, providing reliable performance in potable water, heating, and cooling distribution applications. Plumbers and pipefitters install this tee during new construction and service work wherever a reduced branch takeoff is needed on a 2-inch copper main line.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, radiant heating, and hydronic systems where a copper sweat pressure fitting is specified. The 2 inches x 3/4 inches x 3/4 inches configuration is a common reducing tee used when a main supply line must feed a smaller branch circuit or fixture group. All three ports use standard solder-cup (C) connections compatible with Type K, L, and M copper tube in standard pressure-service installations.
Designed as an OEM-style pressure fitting compatible with standard copper tube in sweat-connection plumbing and hydronic piping systems requiring a 2 inches x 3/4 inches x 3/4 inches reducing tee configuration.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM B88 copper tube standards. Shut off and depressurize the system and drain the line before cutting and fitting. Clean all tube ends and fitting cups thoroughly and apply flux before soldering; follow IFGC and IPC guidelines for sweat joint preparation and heat application. Do not apply flame directly to the fitting body for an extended period, as overheating can compromise the joint integrity.
