The NIBCO 9060500 is a wrot copper sweat fitting-by-fitting 90-degree elbow designed for use in residential and commercial plumbing and hydronic piping systems. Sized at 3/4 inch with a fitting-to-fitting (FTG x FTG) end configuration, it allows one end to slip over copper tubing and the other to accept a fitting, making it useful for back-to-back or offset changes in direction. Wrot copper construction provides consistent wall thickness, clean grain structure, and reliable joint integrity when properly soldered. This elbow is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on copper distribution lines, hot and cold water systems, and heating loops.
The 9060500 is suited for 3/4 inch copper piping applications where a 90-degree change in direction is required. The FTG x FTG end configuration is commonly used when connecting to other fittings in a tight run or when eliminating the need for additional couplings. It is appropriate for potable water, hydronic heating, and general-purpose copper piping installations in both new construction and retrofit work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for 3/4 inch wrot copper sweat piping systems in residential and commercial plumbing applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM B88 copper tubing standards. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before soldering to ensure a dry joint and prevent steam pockets. Clean all mating surfaces with emery cloth and apply flux before soldering; use a lead-free solder where required by local code for potable water applications. Avoid overheating the fitting during the sweat process, as excessive heat can damage the copper and compromise joint integrity.
