The NIBCO 419112 is a 3/4-inch copper union fitting with sweat solder connections on both ends. Unions allow plumbers to disconnect and reconnect a section of copper pipe without cutting the line, making them essential for serviceability in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. This fitting is constructed entirely of copper, offering long-term corrosion resistance and compatibility with standard soldering procedures. It is sized at 3/4 inch on both the inlet and outlet, using a cup-by-cup (C x C) configuration suited for direct sweat connection to copper tubing of the same nominal size.
This union is well suited for use in domestic water supply lines, in-line shutoff valve installations, water heater connections, and other plumbing runs where future serviceability is required. The sweat solder joint on both ends makes it compatible with standard copper tube stock following ASTM specifications. It is commonly installed by licensed plumbers in both new construction and retrofit applications wherever a break-apart mechanical connection point is needed in a copper pipe run.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use union for 3/4-inch copper water supply and distribution piping systems using sweat solder connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off and drain the water supply before cutting into any existing line. Clean and flux all joint surfaces before soldering, and use lead-free solder where required by local code. Allow solder joints to cool fully before restoring water pressure or disturbing the fitting.
