The NIBCO 39923689306 is a 3-piece, full-port ball valve in the G-595-Y-66 series, built for demanding shutoff applications across plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. The bronze body pairs with a 316 stainless steel ball and stem trim, and a fluoroelastomer rubber and PTFE seat for broad fluid and temperature compatibility. Rated to 600 psi and 400 degrees F, this valve handles hot and cold water, compressed air, vacuum service, numerous gas applications, and condenser and chilled water systems. The 2-inch IPS grooved end connections and a 2-inch full-port orifice deliver unrestricted flow with minimal pressure drop. A locking lever handle actuator allows the valve to be secured in the open or closed position.
This valve is suited for commercial and industrial mechanical installations where IPS grooved piping systems are used. Typical applications include condenser water loops, chilled water distribution, compressed air lines, vacuum service, and gas distribution headers. The locking lever handle makes it appropriate for systems where accidental operation must be prevented. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on HVAC, fire protection-adjacent mechanical systems, and process piping will encounter this valve as a standard shutoff component. Note: per the manufacturer description, this valve is not approved for potable drinking water service in California under Section 116875.
Designed for IPS grooved piping systems in hot and cold water, compressed air, vacuum service, gas, and condenser and chilled water applications. Not for use in potable drinking water service in California (CA Section 116875).
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable mechanical and plumbing codes. Shut off system pressure and drain the line before removing or installing the valve. Verify grooved coupling compatibility and proper gasket selection for the intended media before assembly. The locking lever should be engaged after commissioning to prevent unintended valve actuation in service.
