The NIBCO 39923686510 is a 2-1/2 inch three-piece bronze full port ball valve designed for high-pressure shutoff in commercial, mechanical, and industrial piping systems. It operates with a quarter-turn (90 degrees) from open to close and delivers bubble-tight shutoff at 600 PSI cold working pressure (CWP). The valve body and trim are bronze, the ball is brass with a hard chrome plate finish, and the stem is silicon bronze. A PTFE seat ring provides strong chemical resistance, making this valve suitable for demanding fluid handling applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers for this valve size.
This valve is intended for commercial and industrial piping systems where high-pressure bronze valves with solder end connections are specified. The female solder cup (CXC) end connection suits copper tubing installations in mechanical rooms, hydronic systems, and process piping. The full port design minimizes pressure drop across the valve, which is important in systems with flow-rate-sensitive equipment. The three-piece body allows in-line servicing without removing the valve from the line.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation bronze full port ball valve for 2-1/2 inch copper solder (CXC) connections in commercial, mechanical, and industrial piping systems.
Installation of a 2-1/2 inch solder-end ball valve should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME B31.9 piping standards. Depressurize and drain the system completely before soldering to prevent heat damage to the PTFE seat and seals. Position the valve in the fully open position during the soldering process to protect internal components from excessive heat. Consult the NIBCO technical data sheet and valve selection guide for torque, orientation, and application-specific engineering requirements.
