The NIBCO 39923679369 is a two-piece, full-port ball valve in the T-585-70 series, engineered for high-pressure shut-off service in commercial and industrial plumbing, HVAC, and utility gas systems. The valve body is cast red bronze with a polished chrome brass ball and silicon bronze stem trim. PTFE seats provide reliable sealing across a rated pressure of 600 psi and a temperature ceiling of 400 degrees F. At 1-1/2 inches nominal size with NPT threaded ends, it accepts a standard lever handle actuator for quarter-turn operation. Inlet-to-outlet length is 4.72 inches, and top-to-inlet-center dimension is 3.16 inches. Domestic manufacture.
This valve is suited for a wide range of demanding service environments including HVAC hydronic systems, hot and cold domestic water distribution, compressed air lines, low-pressure steam, LP gas, and natural gas supply. The full-port orifice matches the 1-1/2 inch pipe bore, minimizing pressure drop through the valve. It is commonly installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters in both new construction and retrofit applications where a reliable quarter-turn shut-off is required at elevated pressure or temperature. Note: per California Section 116875, this valve is not approved for potable drinking water service.
Designed for high-pressure HVAC, hot and cold domestic water, compressed air, low-pressure steam, LP gas, and natural gas applications requiring a 1-1/2 inch NPT full-port shut-off valve. Not for use in potable drinking water service per California Section 116875.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and the IFGC or IPC as relevant to the service fluid. Depressurize and drain the system fully before removing or installing the valve. NPT connections require appropriate thread sealant rated for the service medium — use a gas-rated compound or tape on gas lines. Confirm the lever handle has full clearance to rotate 90 degrees before completing the installation.
