The NIBCO 39923347848 is a 3/4-inch, two-piece bronze ball valve rated for 250 psi non-shock cold working pressure and a maximum service temperature of 250 degrees F. The body is manufactured from dezincification resistant bronze, and the stem is silicon bronze with a blowout-proof design. A brass full-port ball delivers unrestricted bi-directional flow with minimal pressure drop. Press x female press end connections with an inboard bead and EPDM O-ring allow fast, flameless joinery to the piping system. Reinforced PTFE seat rings and EPDM softgoods round out the sealing package. This valve is installed by licensed plumbers in commercial and residential hydronic and domestic water distribution systems.
The PC-585-70 series is designed for use in press-fit copper piping systems where speed of installation and joint reliability are priorities. Typical applications include hot and cold water distribution, hydronic heating, and light commercial plumbing. The press leak-detection feature allows pressure testing before full compression is achieved, helping installers identify unseated connections before the system is commissioned. Note: use in U.S. drinking water applications is prohibited after January 3, 2014, per federal lead-free requirements.
Designed for use with press-fit copper piping systems accepting 3/4-inch press x female press connections. Compatible with press tooling systems that accept the NIB-Seal inboard bead end connection, including multiple handle options available within the NIBCO PC-585-70 series.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code. Shut off and depressurize the supply line before installing or servicing the valve. A press tool with the appropriate jaw size for 3/4-inch NIBCO press fittings is required to complete the connection. Do not apply heat to the press connection or attempt to solder adjacent to a seated O-ring.
