The NIBCO 39923255372 is a 24-inch lug-style large-diameter butterfly valve from the LD-2000-5 series, built for reliable shut-off service in demanding commercial piping systems. It features a ductile iron body, an aluminum bronze disc, and a stainless steel stem pin for corrosion resistance and long service life. The EPDM seat handles hot and cold water applications up to 225 degrees F continuous service, rated at 125/150 lb pressure class. A manual gear operator is included for controlled actuation on large-diameter applications where torque requirements exceed hand-lever capability. This valve is manufactured domestically and carries a 5-year limited warranty.
This valve is suited for commercial HVAC systems, potable water distribution, and select light industrial process lines including vacuum services. The lug-style body allows the valve to be used in dead-end service when the downstream flange is removed, making it a practical choice for isolation duty in mechanical rooms, central plant piping, and large-diameter distribution headers. It is designed for both hot and cold potable water service and meets the application demands of 125 and 150 lb flanged systems.
Designed for use with 125 lb and 150 lb flanged piping systems in commercial HVAC, potable water, and light industrial process applications including vacuum services.
Installation of a 24-inch butterfly valve of this class should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or plumbing professional familiar with large-diameter flanged systems. Shut off and fully depressurize the line before beginning work, and verify flange bolt patterns conform to ANSI 125/150 lb standards. Support the valve body independently during installation to avoid placing stress on adjacent piping. Follow applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC or IPC guidelines as relevant to the service type.
