The NEW YORKER BOILER cgs50cni-h is a fully packaged, floor-mounted cast iron steam boiler rated at 138 MBH input and 82% AFUE, designed for residential and light commercial steam heating systems fired on natural gas. The cast iron heat exchanger delivers durable, long-term performance, while the integrated Honeywell gas valve and electronic ignition system provide reliable, repeatable startup. A probe-type low water cutoff (LWCO), 15 psi pressure relief valve, steam pressure gauge, and built-in draft diverter come factory-installed, reducing field assembly time for licensed heating technicians.
The cgs50cni-h is suited for retrofit and new-install applications in residential and small commercial buildings with existing one-pipe or two-pipe steam distribution systems. With a DOE heating capacity of 113 MBH and a Net IBR rating of 85 MBH, it covers up to 354 square feet of steam radiation. The unit is designed for horizontal venting through a 6-inch flue collar and mounts directly to a level floor. Supply and return connections are 2-inch threaded, and the gas connection is 1/2-inch threaded, matching standard residential steam piping configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style floor-mount cast iron steam boiler replacement for natural gas steam heating systems requiring 2-inch threaded supply and return connections and horizontal venting with a 6-inch flue collar.
Installation must be performed by a licensed heating contractor or plumber in accordance with applicable local codes, NFPA 54, and the manufacturer installation manual. Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power before any service work. The floor surface must be level and structurally adequate to support the boiler's water-filled weight. Confirm venting, gas line sizing, and system piping meet local mechanical code requirements before startup.
