The NELCO wn-6 is a red twist-on wire connector sold in a 100-piece pack, designed for making secure, insulated wire-to-wire connections in electrical systems. Built from nylon, these connectors accommodate wire combinations ranging from 18 AWG to 10 AWG, making them a practical choice for junction box work, fixture wiring, and general branch-circuit terminations. The color-coded red housing allows for quick visual identification during rough-in and inspection. Licensed electricians and experienced electrically-inclined tradespeople rely on this type of connector for fast, code-consistent terminations in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings.
The wn-6 connector is suited for use in residential and commercial electrical installations where solid or stranded copper conductors need to be joined at junction boxes, outlet boxes, switch boxes, or fixture canopies. Common applications include branch-circuit splices, fixture drops, and device rough-in connections across a wide range of AWG combinations within the 18 AWG to 10 AWG range. The 100-piece pack supports high-volume service work, new construction, and panel or device changeout projects where connector quantity matters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use wire connector compatible with solid and stranded copper conductors in the 18 AWG to 10 AWG range for standard residential and commercial electrical applications.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC requirements for wire terminations. Always de-energize the circuit at the breaker and verify absence of voltage with a meter before making or breaking any connections. Strip conductors to the appropriate length, twist conductors together, and thread the connector clockwise until snug with no bare copper exposed below the skirt. Do not use these connectors on aluminum conductors unless the product is explicitly rated for aluminum-to-copper connections.
