The NDS ez-0701f is a gravel-free French drain system designed to capture and redirect groundwater in residential and light commercial drainage applications. The bundle consists of a 3-inch single-wall corrugated slotted pipe surrounded by engineered aggregate called Poly-Rock, all wrapped in a black geotextile mesh sleeve. The finished bundle measures 7 inches in diameter and 10 feet in length. This system replaces the traditional gravel-filled French drain method, delivering a reported 30 percent better flow rate while reducing the labor and material weight associated with hauling and placing gravel on the job site.
The ez-0701f is suited for residential and commercial groundwater management tasks including foundation perimeter drainage, yard surface flooding mitigation, and subsurface water diversion. It installs in a prepared trench where traditional French drain systems would otherwise require gravel backfill. Licensed plumbers, drainage contractors, and experienced landscaping professionals typically handle this type of installation. The self-contained bundle format reduces on-site staging and speeds up trench work compared to gravel-based alternatives.
Designed as a direct alternative to traditional gravel-filled French drain systems for subsurface groundwater capture and redirection in residential and light commercial drainage applications.
Installation is typically performed by licensed drainage contractors, plumbers, or qualified landscaping professionals familiar with local grading and drainage codes. Power down any buried utilities in the work area and confirm utility locates before trenching. The trench should be sized to the bundle diameter and pitched to promote gravity drainage toward the outlet point. Follow applicable local building and stormwater codes when connecting to a daylight outlet, dry well, or municipal drainage system.
