The NDL INDUSTRIES W4048 is a standard copper tee fitting designed for sweat-solder connections in copper piping systems. All three ports are sized at 1-1/8 inches and configured in a C x C x C (copper by copper by copper) arrangement, allowing the fitting to be soldered directly into a copper line without adapters. This fitting is used to split or branch a single copper run into two directions, or to join three copper pipe segments at one junction. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers. The all-copper construction provides reliable corrosion resistance suited to potable water, HVAC hydronic, and refrigeration piping applications.
This tee is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and refrigeration piping where a 1-1/8-inch copper branch connection is required. The sweat-connect design is standard on copper distribution systems in both new construction and retrofit work. Box quantity is 10 units, making it appropriate for contractors stocking fittings for larger jobs or service inventory.
Designed as a standard sweat-solder replacement or new-installation tee fitting for 1-1/8-inch copper piping systems in plumbing, hydronic heating, and refrigeration applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or refrigeration technician using standard copper sweat-soldering tools including a torch, flux, and solder rated for the intended service. Shut off and drain the water or fluid system before cutting into the line. Follow applicable codes, including IPC and IFGC requirements for potable and gas-adjacent piping, and use flux and solder appropriate for the fluid type, particularly when installing on potable water lines.
