The NDL INDUSTRIES W4047 is a copper reducing tee designed for sweat-connect (C x C x C) copper piping systems. It features two 5/8-inch run connections and one 7/8-inch branch connection, allowing a technician to tap a smaller branch line off a larger main line without additional adapters. This type of fitting is standard in refrigeration line sets, HVAC condensate and refrigerant piping, and residential or light-commercial plumbing rough-in. Licensed plumbers and HVAC-R technicians install this fitting using standard copper soldering practices.
The W4047 reducing tee is suited for applications where a branch connection of a different diameter is needed mid-run. Typical uses include splitting refrigerant or water supply lines in residential and light-commercial systems. The C x C x C configuration means all three ports accept copper tubing for soldered connections, making it compatible with standard hard-drawn or soft-temper copper tube in the specified sizes.
Designed as an OEM-style sweat-fit copper reducing tee for use with standard copper tubing in residential and light-commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC-R technician following applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC or IPC guidelines where relevant. Shut off and depressurize the system and drain all fluid from the line before cutting into existing piping. Clean all mating surfaces and apply flux before soldering; follow lead-free solder requirements per local code. Avoid overheating the fitting during the sweat process to prevent distortion of the socket seats.
