The NDL INDUSTRIES W3355 is a 45-degree copper street elbow designed to change flow direction in copper piping systems without requiring an additional coupling. The FTG (fitting) end slips directly into a standard copper fitting socket, while the C (copper) end accepts standard copper tube, allowing for compact, back-to-back fitting connections. At 1-5/8 inches, this elbow suits larger-diameter copper line installations common in commercial plumbing, refrigeration piping, and HVAC fluid circuits. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting using standard soldering or brazing techniques appropriate to the application and local code.
This street elbow is used in residential and commercial copper piping installations where a 45-degree directional change is needed and space constraints make a standard elbow-plus-coupling combination impractical. The FTG x C configuration integrates directly into a run of fittings, reducing overall joint count. Typical applications include domestic water distribution, hydronic heating loops, and refrigerant or fluid piping systems requiring angled transitions at 1-5/8-inch diameter.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for 1-5/8-inch copper piping systems using sweat (solder) or brazed connections per applicable plumbing and mechanical codes.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME B16.22 standards for wrought copper fittings. Shut off and depressurize the supply line and drain standing water from the pipe before cutting or fitting. Clean all mating surfaces with emery cloth and apply flux before soldering or brazing; follow appropriate temperature and alloy requirements for the fluid service. Inspect the completed joint for leaks before returning the system to service.
