The NDL INDUSTRIES W3344 is a 45-degree copper street elbow designed to change flow direction in copper piping systems without requiring an additional coupling. The fitting features a male solder end (FTG) on one side and a female solder end (C) on the other, allowing it to insert directly into a standard copper fitting socket. At 1-1/8 inches, it fits the corresponding nominal copper tube size used in refrigeration, HVAC, and plumbing applications. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians rely on this type of street elbow to reduce fitting count and simplify tight-space installations where a standard elbow and coupling combination would not fit.
This street elbow is suited for residential and light commercial copper piping work, including domestic water supply lines, hydronic heating runs, and refrigerant line sets where local code permits copper sweat fittings. The FTG x C connection style makes it especially useful when transitioning directly out of another fitting body, reducing overall assembly length in confined chases or mechanical rooms.
Designed as an OEM-style sweat fitting for use with 1-1/8-inch copper tubing in plumbing and HVAC piping systems where FTG x C street elbows are specified.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians following applicable IPC or local mechanical code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the water or refrigerant system completely before cutting into any line. Clean and flux both the tube end and the fitting socket thoroughly before applying heat to ensure a leak-free solder or braze joint. Do not apply flame directly to the fitting socket for an extended period, as overheating can cause pitting or oxidation that compromises the joint.
