The NDL INDUSTRIES W3044 is a 45-degree copper elbow fitting designed to change flow direction in copper tubing systems. With a 1-1/8 inch C x C (copper-to-copper) connection type, it solders directly into copper tube runs using standard sweat-joint technique. This fitting is used in HVAC refrigerant piping, residential and light commercial plumbing, and hydronic systems where a gradual directional change is required. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this type of fitting as part of new construction or retrofit work. The 45-degree angle provides a less abrupt turn than a 90-degree elbow, reducing flow resistance in the line.
This fitting is suited for copper tube applications in residential and light commercial installations. The C x C sweat connection is the standard configuration for copper piping systems across plumbing and HVAC disciplines. It is commonly found in supply lines, refrigerant suction and liquid lines, and hydronic heating or cooling loops where a 45-degree offset is needed to navigate structural elements or equipment clearances. Packaged in quantities of 25, it is well suited for contractors stocking for multiple jobs or service vehicles.
Designed as an OEM-style sweat fitting for use with 1-1/8 inch copper tubing in standard plumbing and HVAC piping applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician using standard sweat-soldering tools including a torch, flux, and appropriate solder. Shut off and depressurize the system and drain any standing water or refrigerant from the line before cutting or fitting. Tube ends must be reamed, deburred, and cleaned before applying flux to ensure a leak-free joint. Follow applicable IPC, IMC, or local mechanical code requirements for the specific system type.
