The NDL INDUSTRIES w3021 is a 45-degree copper sweat elbow designed to change direction in copper tubing runs at a 45-degree angle. Built for 1/2-inch CxC (copper-to-copper) sweat connections, this fitting is a standard component in residential and light commercial plumbing and HVAC refrigerant piping systems. The soldered joint provides a durable, leak-resistant connection when installed properly. Plumbers and HVAC technicians reach for this elbow when a gradual directional change is needed and a 90-degree turn would create unnecessary flow restriction or tight-space conflicts.
This elbow is suited for potable water supply lines, hydronic heating loops, and HVAC copper refrigerant or condensate piping where a 45-degree offset is required. It is appropriate for both new construction and retrofit applications. The CxC configuration means both ends accept standard copper tubing and are joined using a torch and solder, following standard sweat-fitting practices.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for 1/2-inch copper tubing systems using CxC sweat connections in plumbing and HVAC applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply or isolate the refrigerant circuit and allow all lines to depressurize and cool completely before cutting into the system. Clean and deburr tubing ends, apply flux to both the tube and fitting socket, and use a torch with appropriate solder to complete the sweat joint. Do not apply heat to a fitting that still contains moisture or pressure.
