The NDL INDUSTRIES W2834 is a 90-degree long-radius copper street elbow designed to change flow direction in copper tubing systems. The FTG x C configuration means one end is a fitting end (male, sized to insert directly into a socket) and the other is a standard cup-end socket, eliminating the need for a separate coupling at one connection point. Long-radius geometry reduces pressure drop and turbulence compared to short-radius elbows. This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians working on copper piping systems in residential and light commercial applications.
This elbow is suited for use in domestic water supply lines, hydronic heating systems, and refrigerant-side copper tubing applications where a 90-degree directional change is required. The street configuration is particularly useful in tight spaces where back-to-back fittings would otherwise be needed. The 7/8-inch connection size matches common tubing used in a variety of plumbing and HVAC installations. The W2834 is sold in box quantities of 25, making it practical for service contractors and jobsite stock.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use copper street elbow for 7/8-inch copper tubing systems joined by sweat solder connections.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians following applicable IPC and local plumbing codes. Shut off and depressurize the water or fluid system and allow all pipes to cool completely before beginning work. Clean and flux both the fitting end and the cup socket before applying heat with a torch to ensure a proper solder joint. Do not overheat the fitting, as excessive heat can damage the copper and compromise the joint integrity.
