The NDL INDUSTRIES W2086 is a 90-degree short radius copper elbow designed for directional changes in copper refrigeration and HVAC piping systems. Built with a C x C (copper sweat) connection on both ends, this fitting accepts 2-1/8-inch copper tubing and is joined using standard soldering or brazing techniques. The short radius design reduces the overall space needed for the turn compared to a long radius elbow, making it well suited for tight mechanical rooms and confined equipment spaces. HVAC technicians and refrigeration mechanics are the primary installers of this fitting in field piping and equipment connections.
This elbow is used in refrigerant piping, HVAC equipment connections, and other copper tubing applications where a 90-degree directional change is required. The 2-1/8-inch size is common in larger residential and light commercial HVAC systems, particularly in suction line and discharge line runs connected to condensers, evaporators, and compressors. It is sold in a box quantity of 5 fittings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 2-1/8-inch copper tubing systems using C x C sweat connections, typical in HVAC refrigerant piping and related copper tubing applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or refrigeration mechanic following applicable mechanical and refrigeration codes. The system must be fully recovered, depressurized, and isolated before cutting into any refrigerant line. Clean and deburr both tube ends and the fitting socket before applying flux and brazing alloy. Nitrogen purge during brazing is standard practice to prevent oxidation scale inside the piping.
