The NDL INDUSTRIES W2047 is a 90-degree short-radius copper elbow designed to redirect refrigerant or fluid lines in tight spaces where a standard long-radius bend will not fit. The fitting uses a copper-to-copper (C x C) sweat connection on both ends and is sized at 1-1/8 inches. It is a standard component in HVAC refrigerant piping, hydronic systems, and commercial plumbing installations. HVAC technicians and plumbers install this elbow during new construction and retrofit work where directional changes in copper tubing are required.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial applications where 1-1/8-inch copper tubing is routed through mechanical rooms, equipment closets, or wall chases. The short-radius geometry reduces the centerline bend distance compared to long-radius fittings, making it the preferred choice when spatial constraints demand a tighter turn. It is commonly used in suction and liquid line refrigerant piping as well as hydronic supply and return runs.
Designed as an OEM-style copper sweat elbow for use with 1-1/8-inch copper tubing in refrigerant piping, hydronic, and plumbing systems requiring a C x C connection.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or plumbers using standard copper sweat-soldering techniques. Isolate and depressurize the system and allow all lines to cool before cutting and fitting. Clean and flux both the tube end and fitting socket before applying solder in accordance with applicable mechanical codes. Follow local plumbing and mechanical codes, and where refrigerant lines are involved, observe EPA Section 608 requirements for refrigerant handling.
