The NDL INDUSTRIES W2017 is a 90-degree short-radius copper elbow designed for sweat-connected copper piping systems. With a 1/2-inch C x C (copper by copper) connection type, this fitting allows plumbers and pipefitters to make tight directional changes in confined spaces where a long-radius elbow will not fit. The short-radius geometry reduces the centerline-to-face dimension compared to standard elbows, making it the right choice for close-quarters installations in walls, chases, and mechanical rooms. This is a standard-duty pressure fitting suited for potable water, hydronic heating, and general plumbing distribution lines.
This elbow is used in residential and light commercial plumbing applications wherever a 90-degree change of direction is needed in 1/2-inch copper tubing runs. Typical install scenarios include domestic hot and cold water supply lines, radiant heating branch lines, and HVAC chilled or hot water distribution piping. The compact short-radius design is preferred when working inside wall cavities, tight framing bays, or near fixtures where space is limited.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use fitting for 1/2-inch copper tubing plumbing systems using sweat (solder) or braze connections per standard C x C fitting practice.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off and drain the water supply before cutting into existing lines. Clean and flux all mating surfaces thoroughly before soldering to ensure a leak-free joint. Do not apply excessive heat to the fitting during soldering, as overheating can damage the fitting or nearby materials.
