The NDL INDUSTRIES W1370 is a copper reducing bushing designed to connect two different pipe diameters within a copper plumbing system. It transitions from a 2-5/8-inch fitting-to-copper (FTG) end to a 1-1/8-inch copper (C) end, allowing a larger pipe run to step down to a smaller line. This type of fitting is used in soldered copper systems and is installed by licensed plumbers and HVAC refrigeration technicians. The FTG by C configuration means the male spigot end inserts directly into a fitting socket, while the female end accepts a standard copper tube.
This reducing bushing is suited for residential and light commercial copper piping applications where pipe diameter transitions are required. It fits into standard sweat-solder assembly workflows, making it a straightforward component in both supply plumbing and refrigerant line installations that call for a 2-5/8-inch to 1-1/8-inch reduction. Sold in box quantities of 15 units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation reducing bushing for copper sweat-solder piping systems requiring a FTG X C connection in a 2-5/8-inch to 1-1/8-inch diameter transition.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC refrigeration technician using standard sweat-soldering tools including a torch, flux, and appropriate solder. Shut off and depressurize the water or refrigerant system and allow all lines to cool before cutting and fitting. Clean and flux all mating surfaces per standard copper joining practice before applying heat. Follow applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines for the system type being serviced.
