The NDL INDUSTRIES W1369 is a copper reducing bushing designed to transition between two different pipe sizes in a copper sweat system. It connects a 2-5/8-inch fitting-end (FTG) to a 1-3/8-inch copper socket (C), allowing a larger-diameter line to step down to a smaller-diameter run without an additional coupling. This bushing is a direct sweat-solder fitting, installed by plumbers and HVAC refrigeration technicians working on copper tubing systems in both residential and commercial applications.
This reducing bushing is suited for use in copper piping systems where a size reduction is required inline. Typical applications include refrigerant line sets, domestic water distribution, and hydronic piping where a male fitting end inserts into a female socket connection. The FTG x C configuration means the male end of the bushing slides into a standard copper fitting, while the female end accepts a standard copper tube or fitting of the smaller size.
Designed as an OEM-style sweat-fit replacement for copper reducing bushing applications requiring an FTG x C connection in 2-5/8 inches x 1-3/8 inches sizing.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician using standard sweat-soldering tools including a torch, solder, and flux rated for copper fittings. Always shut off and depressurize the system and purge any refrigerant or fluid from the line before cutting or fitting. Clean and flux all mating surfaces thoroughly before applying heat to ensure a leak-free joint. Work must comply with applicable local plumbing codes and, where refrigerant lines are involved, EPA Section 608 regulations.
