The NDL INDUSTRIES W1367 is a copper reducing bushing used to transition between two different pipe sizes in a copper plumbing or HVAC refrigerant piping system. It features a fitting-to-copper (FTG x C) connection type, with a 2-5/8 inch solder-cup male end and a 2-1/8 inch female cup end. This bushing inserts directly into a fitting socket, allowing a downsizing of flow path without adding an extra coupling. Plumbers and HVAC technicians use this fitting when connecting different-diameter copper tubing runs in a single, compact joint.
This reducing bushing is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing and refrigerant piping applications where copper tubing transitions from a larger to a smaller diameter. The FTG x C configuration allows the bushing to be sweat-soldered in-line within an existing fitting, making it a common choice for service and retrofit work on copper distribution systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for copper pipe systems requiring a 2-5/8 inch to 2-1/8 inch reducing connection with a FTG x C joint configuration.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician familiar with sweat-soldering copper fittings. Shut off and depressurize the water or refrigerant line completely before cutting or fitting. Clean and flux all mating surfaces prior to soldering per standard practice. Work must conform to applicable local plumbing codes and, where refrigerant piping is involved, EPA Section 608 requirements.
