The NDL INDUSTRIES W1350 is a copper reducing bushing designed to connect two different pipe sizes within a copper plumbing or HVAC refrigerant piping system. The fitting transitions from a 1.625-inch FTG (fitting) end to a 1.375-inch C (copper sweat) end, allowing technicians to step down pipe diameter within a run without cutting into the existing line. This type of bushing is soldered in place and is a standard component in residential and commercial plumbing and mechanical systems. It ships in a box quantity of 10, making it practical for contractors stocking service vehicles or shop inventory.
This reducing bushing is used wherever a pipe size reduction is needed inline within a copper piping system. Common applications include potable water distribution, hydronic heating, and refrigerant line sets in HVAC systems. The FTG x C configuration means the larger end inserts directly into a fitting socket, while the smaller end accepts a standard copper pipe. Plumbers and HVAC technicians encounter this fitting in both new construction rough-in and retrofit or repair scenarios.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use reducing bushing for copper piping systems requiring a 1.625-inch to 1.375-inch FTG x C transition.
Installation of this fitting is performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians using standard sweat-solder techniques. Shut off and depressurize the water or refrigerant system completely before cutting into any existing line. Clean and flux all mating surfaces per manufacturer and local code requirements before applying heat. Follow applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC or IPC guidelines for joint preparation and inspection.
