The NDL INDUSTRIES W1338 is a copper reducing bushing used to transition between two different pipe diameters in a plumbing or hydronic system. It connects a 1-1/8 inch fitting-to-fitting (FTG) male end to a 3/4 inch cup-end (C) female socket. This fitting is designed for sweat-soldered copper installations and is a common component when reducing line size at a branch point, equipment connection, or service transition. Plumbers and pipefitters install this bushing when joining copper tubing of differing diameters without adding extra couplings or adapters.
This reducing bushing is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, refrigeration piping, and general copper distribution systems. The FTG end slips directly into a standard cup-end fitting socket, streamlining the transition and keeping the assembly compact. It is sold in box quantities of 25, making it practical for contractors stocking field inventory or completing multi-fixture rough-ins where multiple reductions are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard trade fitting for copper sweat systems requiring a reduction from 1-1/8 inches to 3/4 inches with an FTG x C connection configuration.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before cutting or fitting. Clean and flux all mating surfaces before soldering, and use lead-free solder where required by code for potable water systems. Allow the joint to cool completely before restoring pressure.
